We (Lindi & Kaya) live in England (Kaya’s home country), where it is not currently possible to import our family’s delicious, natural honey.

We think there’s a gap in the market for a specialty honey that is made in area free of pesticides and pollutants and with no artificial feeding to our bees. Furthermore, we’ve spoken to some of the UK’s key luxury food retailers, who have expressed an interest in stocking our honey.

The Imports Team at the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) has advised us that it is not currently possible because Albania is not on the list of approved countries for honey imports. To gain approval, the competent authority in Albania must submit (and have approved by the UK) a residue monitoring control plan for products of animal origin.
